Leica TCS SP

The Leica functions as a 3-colour, UV and visible confocal microscope in one system, utilizing fiber coupled UV, VIS and IR lasers (allowing rapid switching between laser-firing). There is even a “Design-a-filter” application for ultimate flexibility, or new dyes and difficult dye combinations, and allows easy wavelength selection from pre-programmed spectra of all popular dyes. The excitation wavelengths commonly used are:

Wavelenght (nm)
Dye
543
TRITC
488
FITC
366
Cy5
458
GFP
190-370
DAPI

Users are charged for using this system – and must be trained prior to conducting any experiments!
