Translations/Transpositions: the UCL/Mellon Post-doctoral Fellows Programme (2006-11)
An interdisciplinary programme of six two-year fellowships directed by Professor Michael Worton and funded by the Mellon Foundation. This project will examine the following key themes:
- Old and new models of translation
- Migration and non-mother-tongue writing
- 'Intergeneric' translation
- Intermedia’ translations (i.e. literary works ‘translated’ or transposed into films, operas, art works, etc).
- Translation as dissemination: Museums and their audiences
