Field Sites

The testing of new technology and techniques requires continued mointoring of particular field sites known to be large volcanic CO2 produces. For this reason the Volcanic CO2 group is focused on these main targets;

  1. Mount Etna, Sicily
  2. Mount Erebus, Antarctica
  3. Oldoinyo Lengai, Tanzania
  4. Masaya, Nicaragua
  5. Nyiragongo, Democratic Republic of Congo
  6. Erta Ale, Ethiopia
  7. Lascar, Northern Chile
  8. Soufriere Hills, Montserrat
  9. Popocatepetl, Mexico
  10. Krafla, Iceland
  11. Santorini, Greece
  12. Aso, Japan
  13. Sakurajima, Japan
  14. Merapi, Indonesia
