Call for the submission of abstracts for posters for USAR 2017

As we approach the deadline for the submission of abstracts for academic research papers, workshops and practice papers on 13th February, USAR is pleased to announce that the call for abstracts for posters is now open. Prizes will be awarded for the best poster and paper. The deadline for abstracts for posters is 17th March 2017. Guidance can be found on the Conference 2017 page of this site.

USAR part of inter-agency response to global humanitarian system inquiry

USAR has joined several humanitarian, research and evaluation organisations in calling for better evidence to inform humanitarian interventions worldwide. A short position paper was recently submitted to the House of Commons International Development Committee's inquiry into the global humanitarian system. The paper will also be issued at the forthcoming World Humanitarian Summit.

USAR EngD studentGeorgios Katsigiannis has been shortlisted in the “Postgraduate Student of the Year” category by the Ground Engineering magazine. The Ground Engineering Next Generation Awards 2014 celebrate the most talented young engineers in the geotechnics business.
