USAR Conference 2017

**Submission deadline for research, practice and workshop abstracts extended until  13 FEBRUARY 2017**

**CALL for abstracts for poster submissions now open.
Deadline: 17 MARCH 2017.**

The 3rd International Conference on Urban Sustainability and Resilience will take place on 13 and 14 June 2017 in Bloomsbury, London. Watch this space for more details.

Early bird registration for the conference is now open and available until 7th April2017.

USAR student member: FREE but you must register

We invite research students, academics and industry practitioners to submit abstracts for research papers, workshops and practice papers on the following themes:

  • Achieving both sustainable and resilient cities
  • Resilient infrastructure
  • Green infrastructure
  • Urban recovery post-disaster
  • The circular economy

Abstract guidance information

Extended abstracts for research paper presentations: content guidance (max 1,500 words)

 Your extended abstract should include details of

  1. Your research objectives and methodology;
  2. Case studies should detail objectives and outcomes;
  3. Potential development impact;
  4. Recommendations for future research and application.

Extended abstracts for workshop presentations: content guidance (max 1,000 words)

Your workshop abstract should include details of

  1. Workshop title;
  2. Speakers/leaders;
  3. Session aim, including learning objective;
  4. Outline of workshop content and format;
  5. Future application of outcomes;

Abstracts for practice paper presentations: content guidance (max 1,000 words)

Your practice paper abstract should include details of

  1. Project idea, purpose and objectives;
  2. Findings and originality;
  3. Conclusion and impact on policy.

The word limits exclude titles and footnotes

When uploading your abstract, you will be asked to enter key words that relate to the subject of your abstract and you will need to indicate with which of the conference themes, your abstract most aligns.

All papers should be written in English. Accepted file formats: pdf, doc, docx
