Journalist and writer Dan Hancox will be in conversation with Dr Richard Bramwell (Loughborough University) at our next Stadtklang music evening to discuss his critically acclaimed book Inner City Pressure: The Story of Grime (William Collins, 2018).

The book weaves the explosive story of London’s grime music, and its stunning triumph against the odds, into the history of the 21st-century city, where gentrification, urban protest, pirate radio, police harassment, riots and tragedy are intertwined in the evolution of this stunning and alien style of grassroots urban music.

Stadtklang is UCL Urban Laboratory's music night run in collaboration with Goldsmiths’ Visual Cultures.

All welcome, free entry from 6pm and no prior booking required. The bar is fully accessible to wheelchair-users. Please like the Stadtklang Facebook page to hear more about upcoming events.
