Centre Pieces: a public, documented conversation on the London Lesbian and Gay Centre

We warmly invite those who planned, supported, attended or worked at the London Lesbian and Gay Centre, to participate in a public, documented conversation about its history and the lessons that can be learned for present-day campaigns to create LGBTQ+ community spaces.

Hosted by UCL Urban Laboratory and supported by the Museum of London, the event will take the form of a public conversation, with the purpose of contributing to the documentation of this community space. Participants are encouraged to bring their memories and memorabilia. Afternoon tea will be provided.

This event forms part of UCL Urban Laboratory's ongoing research on LGBTQ+ spaces in the capital, and forms part of research being undertaken by Dr Ben Campkin.
