UCL and Bloomsbury
UCL and Bloomsbury UCL is the largest and oldest college of the federal University of London. Founded in 1826, it was the first to admit students regardless of race, class or religion, and was the first to admit women on equal terms with men. UCL is an international college with over 17000 students, and an enormous range of student and staff societies. UCL has a library of over 1,500,000 books. We are located in the heart of Bloomsbury, a short walk from national resources like the British Library (with 150 million items), the British Museum, and outstanding art galleries like the Tate Modern, the Tate, and the National Gallery.
