Summary
Rumana is a Reader in Medical Statistics at the Department of Statistical Science, UCL and head of the Biostatistics Group at the Royal Free/UCLH/UCL Research Support Centre. Rumana also provides statistical leadership for UCL PRIMENT CTU. Rumana has held academic appointments at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, St Barts and the Royal London Medical School and Imperial College.

Research Summary
Rumana’s main research interests are: risk prediction models (case-mix) for health outcomes, applied and methodological aspects of cluster randomised trials, repeated measurements studies and meta-analysis. She has collaborated nationally and internationally on large scale observational studies and trials in cardiac surgery, cancer, mental health and women’s health.
