1 Inflammatory conditions of the gastrointestinal tract:- 1.1 Helicobacter pylori : Publications since 1983 on H. pylori, its epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment. 1.2 Inflammatory bowel disease: Investigation of the role of the commensal flora to the development of IBD. 1.3 Clostridium difficile: Role of colonic ecology in the development of disease 2 Bionanotechnology : Development of POC tests for hospital pathogens using nanocantilevers; Use of gold/iron nanoparticles as therapeutics for antibiotic resistant micro-organisms 3 HAC: The environment as a source of HAI; validation of Health Service Guidance (Laundry)(95) 18 and the significance of C. difficile in contamination of laundry 4 Leprosy. Role of co-infections and proteoasome function in the development of TypeI and Type II reactions Current Research Helicobacter pylori.
