UCell - UCL Fuel Cells

Anna Ploszajski

Position

EngD candidate in the Industrial Doctoral Centre in Materials Science and Molecular Modelling at UCL Chemistry.

About

Although she has the alphabet for a surname, Anna was born and bred in sleepy Bedfordshire. From there she studied Materials Science at Oxford University and in her final year, carried out a Masters project on Polymer Hydride Nanocomposites for Portable Hydrogen Storage Applications at Cella Energy Ltd. Having struck the right balance between science and baking, Cella Energy offered to sponsor Anna through the Industrial Doctoral Centre in Materials Science and Molecular Modelling at UCL. From here it didn’t take long to sniff out opportunities combining her love of music festivals and telling everyone about hydrogen storage, leading her to the UCell team. In her spare time, Anna plays trumpet and electric violin in a covers band, attempts stand-up comedy and swims marathons in North London and very big lakes.

Research

Solid state hydrogen storage materials and adsorption filtration materials for portable hydrogen-powered applications such as automobiles.
