Ask the Audience - Using Personal Response Systems to Engage Large Classes
Personal Response Systems (PRS) use handheld devices to allow students to 'vote' on questions posed by the lecturer.
Both they and the lecturer get instant feedback, allowing them both to monitor progress and understanding.
In this light-hearted end-of-term session, Sarah Bridle and Dugan Witherick (Physics and Astronomy) will demonstrate the use of such a system and we'll discuss the range of uses to which it can be put - including a 'pub quiz' type activity!
