E-learning challenges and self-test learning initiatives in a multi-site Australian medical school
Dr David Emmett - School of Medicine, University of Queensland

Queensland School of Medicine is a large, world-class, widely spread school with at least 8 campuses in Australia, outliers in New Orleans and Brunei, and elective programmes in 36 countries. Their new e-learning team is charged with developing strategies and technologies for quality global teaching and learning - meeting the needs of teachers and students for advanced, efficient and innovative resources involving distance learning and global collaborations. UCL staff may be interested in plans for cooperative development (possibly within Moodle) of resources and content for student-led self-tests with optional Certainty-Based Marking, suitable particularly (though not exclusively) for medicine.
