An event on 5 June will see an expert panel discuss the implications of the EU's Danube Strategy.

From its source in the German Black Forest to its delta on the borders of Romania, Moldova and Ukraine, the Danube links ten countries, seven of which are EU members. This river shapes a region of remarkable cultural diversity, but also of great socio-economic inequalities, a region with a turbulent past that is now at the forefront of European enlargement.
