Vice-Provost (Education & Student Affairs)
Professor Anthony Smith, Vice-Provost (Education & Student Affairs), is responsible for the teaching, learning and assessment agenda at UCL, providing leadership on education issues at an institutional level.
His team of seven is responsible for developing and implementing the Institutional Education Strategy, and for monitoring the quality of the student experience through the Student Experience Forum.
Major initiatives in 2013-14 include the Global Citizenship Programme for undergraduate students and, through the Centre for the Advancement of Learning and Teaching (CALT), the development of a new training programme for staff, UCL Arena.
The Vice-Provost (Education & Student Affairs) office also has responsibility for UCL’s strategic educational partnerships with the UCL Academy in Swiss Cottage and with City & Islington College.
