Your invitation to the UCL Academy Summer Reception at UCL on 3 June

12 May 2014

UCL Academy summer 2014 reception and networking

Vice-Provost (Education) Professor Anthony Smith invites UCL staff to meet people from UCL Academy and celebrate the institutions’ relationship

Dear colleagues,

Prof David Price, Vice-Provost (Research) and Chair of Governors at the UCL Academy, and I would like to invite you to attend a Reception and Networking Event with colleagues from the UCL Academy on Tuesday 3 June 2014.

This event has been arranged to thank UCL staff for their support of the Academy over the last year and a half, to provide an opportunity for networking with UCL Academy staff and to celebrate the relationship between UCL and the school. The UCL Academy in Swiss Cottage opened in September 2012 with UCL as sole sponsor. For more information about the school and the partnership with UCL, please see our UCL Academy page.

The reception will take place at 4-5pm in the Grant Museum of Zoology. I do hope you will be able to join us, whether you currently have links with the UCL Academy or would like to develop your department’s work with the school further. We are always keen to publicly thank those of you who are already closely involved with the Academy. We would also like to encourage anyone who is not yet familiar with the Partnership to come and learn more. The links with the UCL Academy benefit not only the school’s students, but those at UCL as well.

All teaching and non-teaching staff from the Academy have been invited to attend so it will be a fantastic opportunity to forge or strengthen links with counterparts in your area or discipline.

Please make every effort to attend and do pass this email on to any colleagues who may be interested in coming along to join us.

It would be helpful if you could confirm your attendance to Mark Copestake (m.copestake@ucl.ac.uk) before 27 May 2014.

I very much hope to see you there.

Professor Anthony Smith

Vice-Provost (Education) and UCL Academy Sponsor Representative
