Personal Tutoring - Why I was wrong and what I'm doing to improve. A UCL Arena Exchange seminar on 22 May

12 May 2014

UCL Arena Teaching Learning Conference 2014

Dr Simon Banks, UCL Chemistry, will use this UCL Arena Exchange seminar to discuss the problems he has identified in the system of personal tutoring and present his solutions.

Specifically, he will look at how two core aspects of personal tutoring – attendance monitoring and pastoral care – can become more closely aligned.

As well as drawing on his own personal experiences of the system, he will present the methods currently employed by the Chemistry department.

What is UCL Arena Exchange?

UCL Arena Exchange seminars are run by UCL staff. They outline examples of good teaching practice and offer UCL staff the chance to discuss their work with colleagues. All UCL staff are welcome to register.

UCL Arena Fellowship applicants can add attendance at these events to their record of professional development activities in Part 2 of their applications.
