Horizon Report 2014 summits Horizons event future teaching technology

Get a glimpse into the future of learning technology at the final Summits & Horizons event of the academic year.

A panel of experts from the Centre for the Advancement of Learning and Technology and the E-Learning Environments team will review the predictions presented in the 2014 Horizons Report.

Produced by the New Media Consortium (NMC), the report identifies emerging technologies alongside an anticipated ‘time to adoption’.

Predictions featured in the latest report include the rise of gamification, increased use of virtual assistants such as Apple’s Siri system and a growth in learning analytics.

The event will also provide an opportunity to look back at what the 2009 Horizons Report predicted would come to the fore by 2014.
