Mr. Jonathan Britto is a consultant craniofacial surgeon at Great Ormond Street Hospital and University College Hospitals in London. He trained in craniofacial surgery in London, Paris, and Toronto, following core plastic surgery rotations in London and Boston, Massachussetts.
He has a particular interest in orbitopalpebral surgery in children and adults for the correction of congenital anomaly and oncoplastic reconstruction. His current clinical research interests are centred on surgical outcome in paediatric orbital remodelling, translocation, and orbital expansion. He retains a basic science research interest in the Crouzon mouse model, and the molecular optimisation of malar onlay reconstruction in Treacher Collins Syndrome; with the supervision of research students to various degree levels, BSc, MSc, MD and PhD.
Mr Britto is a Syme Professor of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and has published over 40 papers in specialist journals, a book, and several book chapters. He is an editor of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal and reviewer for various plastic surgery publications.
