Deadline for receipt of completed applications (including references): 31st July each year.

Application process

All applicants must complete a UCL Graduate Student application form.

  • For the online application, when prompted to choose the UCL Department you are applying to, please select "Division of surgery and Interventional Science" and "Postgraduate Taught", then "MSc Sports Medicine, Exercise and Health".
  • Full-time students, please select “Full-time”.
  • Part-time, flexible and distance learning students, please select “Modular /Flexible Study.”

Distance learning students should apply in the same way but you must make it clear in your personal statement on the application form that you wish to study via Distance Learning.

Please ensure that your referees submit your references as formal offers cannot be made without these.

Upon receipt of your application, we will advise you of the approximate date it will be forwarded to the panel for evaluation and when you will hear the outcome.

We will be taking a maximum of 30 new students to start in September 2013.

The programme relies upon the diversity of its student group in order to maximise the learning during case based discussion. In order to maintain the balance between the different student groups we will initially accept a maximum of 8 students each from medical, manual therapy and sports science backgrounds. Additional successful students will be placed on a waiting list.

Deadline for receipt of completed applications (including references): 31st July each year.
