Research Description

Mr Smitham is a Clinical Lecturer and Orthopaedic Registrar on the Stanmore, North East Thames Rotation and is the BOTA Vice Prresident. His main research interests include fracture healing, rehabilitation and translational research that an obvious and tangible benefit to patient care. He is involved in a number of projects covering the above themes with a broad spectrum covering basic science through to clinical trials and health services research.

Mr Smitham assists in the teaching and organisation of the Clinical Modules for the Musculoskeletal Sciences iBSc and MSc Courses based at The Institute of Orthopaedics & Musculoskeletal Sciences, UCL, Stanmore. He is a supervisor to iBSc, MSc and PhD students
