Killing Cancer
Alternatively, the charity Killing Cancer raises funds to develop and fast-track new PDT treatments, which the NMLC often helps research.
David Longman, Director of Killing Cancer, set up the charity in 2004 to help fund the work of the PDT specialists at the National Medical Laser Centre, and to raise awareness of PDT in the medical world and amongst the general public.
Some of the
immediate targets for PDT research include pancreatic cancer, bile duct
cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, brain tumours, breast cancer, and
head and neck cancer.
