Integrated Molecular & Cell Sciences (IMCS) Laboratory

Translational Biomarker Research & Development through Integrated Molecular & Cell Science

The Integrated Molecular & Cell Science (IMCS) laboratory, setup in 2014, is a research laboratory supporting cancer, pathology software development and technology innovations for both early phase discovery research and translational development.

Based within the Department of Tissue & Energy, within the Division of Surgery & Interventional Science, IMCS utilises in house expertise in immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridisation and image quantification coupled with genomic and proteomic next generation sequencing and bioinformatics. The laboratory works in synergy with the translational gastroenterology, urology and breast cancer groups within the department, translating R&D activities such as novel transcriptomic biomarker discovery to support antibody and small molecule targeted therapeutic strategies.
