UCL Centre for Nanotechnology & Regenerative Medicine Awarded 3-Year EPSRC Studentship

Pharmidex Ltd is a world-leading London-based SME who provide specialised solutions for central nervous system drug discovery, nanotechnology and testing of medical devices.
The award aims to develop new bioactive coating technologies to overcome issues of long-term biocompatibility following chronic implantation of neural prostheses by bringing together a multidisciplinary team of scientists and clinicians with expertise in neuroscience, pharmaceuticals and medical device technology.
Dr Brian G. Cousins, Lecturer in Nanotechnology &
Biomaterials, Dr Mohammed Alavijeh, Managing Director of Pharmidex Ltd, and
Alexander Seifalian, Professor of Nanotechnology & Regenerative Medicine,
have been awarded a three-year EPSRC industrial CASE award studentship to
develop novel neurological biomaterials to treat neurological disorders.
