Every year, UCL welcomes students from universities around the world to study for 3 or 6 weeks in June, July and August.

In the summer of 2023, we welcomed students from over 225 universities in more than 50 countries, making the UCL Summer School a truly international experience in the heart of one of the world's most dynamic cities.

Why choose the UCL Summer School?

 

Wide range of modules: With a wide range of undergraduate credit-bearing modules on offer, from many of our renowned academic departments, you can choose the subject best suited to your academic or personal interests. 

Taught by UCL academics: You’ll be taught face-to-face by UCL academics in interactive, participatory classes.   

Central London: London is a place like no other, ranked by QS as the world’s “Best Student City” 2022-2024. Modules are taught on the UCL Bloomsbury campus in central London, and many make use of London as a learning environment with excursions in and around the city. 

World-leading university: UCL is consistently ranked among the world's top universities (ranked #9 in the world overall, QS 2024) and many of the module tutors on the UCL Summer School are leading academics in their fields.  

Accommodation: As a Summer School student you will be able to apply to stay in UCL accommodation in the heart of London at a discounted rate. 

Social and cultural events: To help you make the most of your time in the capital, and make friends with other Summer School students, we offer a diverse programme of optional social and cultural events in the evenings and at the weekends.
