College Closure for Easter
UCL will be closed from 5.30pm Wednesday 16 April 2014 until Wednesday 23 April 2014. Over the Easter period there is plenty of support still available to you. For more information, please refer to the Support for Students over the Easter Closure information on the Current Students Website.
Urgent issues relating to study abroad student welfare should be forwarded to email@example.com. This account will be monitered over the college closure period.
If you are currently on your year abroad and require emergency assistance, please contact your travel insurance provider on the emergency number: + 44 (0) 1273 400 850. You can also contact your nearest British Consulate if you are a British Citizen. For information about non-emergency insurance claims, please visit the Insurance section of our website.
Preparation for Study Abroad 2014
We have now completed our series of pre-departure briefings for students departing in 2014/15. If you were not able to attend one or more of the pre-departure briefings over the last four weeks, or you would like to review the information that was given, you now catcg up on the Study Abroad website:

You should collect a Study Abroad Handbook from the UCL Student Centre if you have not already done so.
Students currently abroad
Students who are finishing their first placement abroad should make sure that all their paperwork is up to date before departing for your new placement, including a questionnaire about your first placement. Please check the Documents and Forms page for more information and deadlines.

About the Study Abroad Team
The Study Abroad Team exists to support and promote study abroad opportunities for UCL undergraduate students. We provide a number of services for students considering, preparing for, or undertaking, a study abroad placement. These include:
- Providing advice and guidance to students considering taking part in the study abroad programme through information sessions, the UCL Study Abroad Fair and one-to-one advising.
- Providing resources and information about UCL's partner institutions
- Coordinating the UCL Study Abroad Pre-departure Preparation Programme
- Providing information and support to students while they are studying abroad
- Welcoming study abroad students back into the UCL community and helping them make the most of their experiences abroad.

You can drop in to see the UCL Study Abroad Team at the Student Centre from 2pm-4pm every Tuesday afternoon. If you cannot attend during the drop-in, you should make an appointment to see us using the details opposite. Unfortunately we cannot deal with queries in person outside of these times.

Each academic department which participates in the study abroad programme has a dedicated Study Abroad Tutor who is responsible for provding academic guidance and ensuring that your study abroad experience is of value within the framework of your degree programme.
