Group Therapy

For Group therapy Frequently Asked Questions, please click here.

Group therapy can be helpful if you are experiencing interpersonal difficulties. Your self-esteem can improve as you find that you can be helpful to, and appreciated by, other members of the group. It is quite normal to have some mixed feelings about joining a group. Talking in front of a group often feels more scary than talking to one other person. However, groups are a good way of learning about how you relate to others and can be very supportive.

There are two therapy groups which meet weekly every Tuesday during term time for one-and-a-half hours. Each group has a maximum of eight students. Groups are confidential and members do not have social contact outside the group. One of the groups is for postgraduates only.

If you are interested in joining a group, please indicate this on your registration form.
