IBSc Alumnus Adam Holland explains the programme

On Wednesday 18th January STS staff, alumni and students were on hand to talk to medical students about our intercalated BSc in Philosophy, Medicine and Society at the annual IBSc Fair. The degree offers medical students the chance to spend a year doing STS subjects as part of their medical training.

Three cheers for STS!

At UCL’s 2012 Provost's Awards for Public Engagement, Dr Joe Cain was awarded the Public Engagement Unit's award for the head of department "who has shown the strongest commitment to culture change in their area of responsibility with respect to public engagement."

Agar makes an Impact

One of Dr Jon Agar's research projects has been named in a recent AHRC report on the impact of projects it has funded. Jon's collaboration, "Locating Communications Heritage: engaging the mobile user," was cited for its exploration of new technologies:
