New arrival - Dr Bill MacLehose
26 July 2011

The end of July sees the arrival of Dr William (Bill) MacLehose, as Lecturer in History of Medicine.
Bill is a historian of medieval and early modern science, technology and medicine. Previously, he was a member of the Wellcome Centre for the History of Medicine at UCL.
Bill is well known to some STSers. He's BSc modules were taken by some of our undergraduates. He's also taught in our MSc programme.
Bill adds depth to our speciality in integrated history and philosophy of science and to our global citizenship programme. He'll be teaching modules for Master's level students, STS undergraduates, and UCL medical students. He has a special interest in intercultural interactions, especially Medieval exchanges between the Islamic east and the Latin West. He also is studying the history of conceptions about sleep.
