Workshop on Volunteers in Biomedical Research (project funded under the ESRC follow-on funding scheme for dissemination of research findings and their translation into action)

We are looking for a Research Assistant to take a major role in the organisation and running of this one-day Workshop, for about 40 participants, which will bring together researchers, policy-makers, volunteers, patient advocates, ethicists, health professionals and other stakeholders to engage with issues around the role of volunteers in medical research and the implications of volunteers’ views and understandings for policy and practice. We offer a 5-month contract running from 1 March 2011 to (end) July 2011. The date of the Workshop is fixed for 10 June 2011.
