STS student wins 2011 Faculty Medal
STS takes great pleasure in announcing that one of our graduating students, Veronika Raszler, has won the 2011 MAPS Faculty Medal.
This medal is awarded to students who achieve the highest academic results and who also distinguish themselves in subjects across the Faculty and in related work outside UCL. Veronika has been active in many areas. One of Veronika’s projects stands out in particular:
- lobbying in the European Commission and Parliament on behalf of space scientists and the Europlanet programme.
The Faculty Medal is conferred at the commencement ceremony in September by the Dean, Professor Richard Catlow.
"Veronika is an absolutely First Class student of breadth, originality and consistency," said Professor Steve Miller. "To be so consistently good, one of our students has to have genuine all-round excellence and exemplary dedication to study. And in her work for Europlanet in the European Parliament, she has advanced the interests of the MAPS Faculty on the European stage."
All the STS staff extend our congratulations.
