BJPS comes to STS

18 November 2010

STS will become a new home for the British Journal for the Philosophy of Science (BJPS), with the announcement this month that Dr Michela Massimi will become co-editor of the journal beginning. Professor Stephen French (Leeds) also will co-edit the journal. The handover from the current editors James Ladyman and Alexander Bird will occur in 2011.

BJPS, a world-class journal in the field of philosophy of science, is the flagship publication for the British Society for the Philosophy of Science, whose mission is to study the logic, the methods, and the philosophy of science, as well as those of the various special sciences, including the social sciences.

This co-editorship adds to strengths already in the department. STS currently is the editorial home for the British Journal for the History of Science. Dr Jon Agar is editor.
