Engaging Teachers in Gender-Aware Practice

Within STS we're always keen to ensure that the findings from our research are
able to benefit people outside of academia. To this end our Director of
Research, Karen Bultitude, was delighted to be invited to Dublin recently to
work with Irish teachers to share her expertise in gender-aware teaching
practice. Building on the results from the Girls into Physics Action Research programme,
the session incorporated interactive 'myth busting' exercises as well as
practical top tips and academic research evidence to encourage greater take-up
of physics by both boys and girls.
