STS has a collection of recording equipment available for loan for academic purposes. This page lists items available, plus gives links to manuals and loan sheets.
Best to request a reservation for equipment well in advance.
Before we loan any equipment, we must be confident protocols are in place for ethical data collection and data protection. Discuss this with the Director of Research.

The key disadvantages are that it's a technical piece of kit, and it takes some training. The audio can include either wired or wireless microphones. Best to discuss your application with Joe in advance of need. Runs on a battery provided (requires charging, so plan ahead) or AC power. Available for loan to staff; also, to PGR students for select purposes. |
