Dr Serge Guillas awarded 30,000 euros of funding from PASCAL2

23 January 2012

Dr Serge Guillas has been awarded 30,000 euros of funding from PASCAL2 (Pattern Analysis, Statistical Modelling and Computational Learning), a Network of Excellence funded by the European Union, for his proposal on the "Uncertainty Quantification Pipeline for Climate Models". This will enable month-long invitations of experts from the University of Texas at Austin, the Illinois Institute of Technology at Chicago, Carroll University in Wisconsin, the US Naval Postgraduate School, and from the research institute INRIA in France. These experts will collaborate with five UCL researchers and together take advantage of UCL's High Performance Computing resources for their simulations. This will lead to the release of efficient open-source code for uncertainty quantification of complex computer models.
