Team involving Dr Gianluca Baio awarded grant funding in excess of £1.7m

The team coordinated by Professor John Duncan (UCL Neurology) and including Dr Gianluca Baio has received Wellcome Trust/NIHR funding in excess of £1.7m to conduct research on novel multimodality imaging techniques for neurosurgical planning and stereotactic navigation in epilepsy surgery. The funding will support a research associate in the Department of Statistical Science for 3 years. [8/12/11]

Dr Gianluca Baio awarded grant from Sanofi Pasteur Merck Sharpe and Dohm

Dr Gianluca Baio has been awarded a grant from Sanofi Pasteur Merck Sharpe and Dohm (Lyon, France) to conduct research on using Bayesian modelling to assess the effectiveness of vaccination to prevent Human Papilloma Virus-related diseases. The funding will allow a new research associate position to be created within the department. [18/11/11]
