Massive Stars and Star Clusters

This is the homepage of the Massive Stars & Star Clusters Group, part of the Astrophysics Group  in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at UCL. We undertake research into the properties of the most luminous, massive stars in our own and other galaxies, looking at them as individual objects and as populations. The links on the left can be used to find out more about the people in the group and the work we do.

The HST image shows the giant HII region NGC 346, in the Small Magellanic Cloud, which contains a young cluster of hot, massive O stars. Members of our group are actively involved in this project.
