Appointing Staff
The Personnel Division can assist you in all matters relating to the appointment
of a new member of staff, from advertising the vacancy to answering contract
queries. Only the Personnel Division can issue letters of appointment and place
individuals on the payroll. To request that an appointment be made you will
need to complete the appropriate Appointment Form, arrange for it to be signed
by an authorised signatory within your department, and forward it to the Personnel
Administration Office or Research Administration (for Forms 1 and 1A).
Offers of appointment will not be made until financial approval to fill has
