UCL Open Day

We advise that anyone thinking about studying with us attends one of our open events or visits the School on an individual basis.

Widening Participation: A Taste of Languages at UCL

The School of European Language, Culture and Society (SELCS) and the School of Slavonic and Eastern European Studies (SSEES) are offering a one day summer school to year 12 students on Thursday 18 June 2015.

The day will give students a taste of studying modern languages (French and Spanish) at university level. There will also be the unique opportunity to learn about languages and cultures which you may not have encountered before (Czech, Dutch, Finnish, German, Hungarian, Italian, Serbian/Croatian, Ukrainian, Yiddish, Polish, Romanian and more) and find out about the possibilities that studying a new language brings.

There will also be general advice about applying for Modern Languages courses at university, the careers available to Modern Language graduates, and the chance to speak to current UCL students and visit the UCL campus.

Please note that there are certain eligibility criteria.

For further information please contact Sarah-Jane Gregori (; Tel: 0207 6798810).
