Duties and Responsibilities
The Department wishes to appoint a Teaching Fellow in Qualitative Research Methods during 2013/2014. The successful candidate will provide teaching support and administration for the ‘Introduction to Qualitative Research Methods’ which is a compulsory course for students enrolled on seven Masters programmes offered in the Department of Political Science. The appointment also includes dissertation supervision and personal tutor responsibilities for this period along with usual duties of teaching administration.
This appointment is available from 1st December 2013 to 30th June 2014.
Key Requirements
Applicants require a PhD in Political Science or a related subject (PhD candidates would be considered if they were close to completion). It is essential that candidates are familiar with the key arguments and literature in qualitative and quantitative research methods. Previous experience of teaching at the postgraduate level and supervising student dissertations is desirable.
