The Department's status as one of Britain's leading centres for research in Political Science was confirmed by the publication of the results of the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise. This ranks UCL as 6th in the UK in terms of the average score of our research on a scale of 0 to 4, with 90% per cent judged as of international standard and 65% in the top two categories of 'world leading' (4 - 20%) and 'internationally excellent' (3 - 45%) - the third highest score achieved in our subject area.
