Introduction

Melita Lazell is a teaching fellow in International Political Economy/International Relations. She holds an MSc in International Relations from the University of Southampton and completed her PhD at the same institution in 2012. Prior to joining UCL, Melita taught International Relations, Globalization and the South, and Global Governance at the University of Southampton and worked for a development NGO in Brussels.

Her research interests include: the securitization of international development; critical approaches to global governance; Foucault and governmentality.
