Dr Sarah Clark is a research associate on the ESRC project, ‘Social Contract, Deliberative Democracy and Public Policy’. She also works on a UCL-National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) collaboration on international comparative analyses of decision making in health, entitled ‘Social Values and Health Priority Setting’.

Sarah holds a PhD in Political Theory from the University of Essex, and MAs in the Theory and Practice of Human Rights and in Political Theory, also from the University of Essex. Before returning to academia, she worked as a civil servant in the Department for Children, Schools and Families and as a researcher and campaigner at a Sudanese human rights organization. Her research interests include resource allocation in health, bioethics, theories of justice and the ethics and process of public policy-making.
