Introduction
Alice is a research assistant on the ESRC funded project 'Judicial Legitimacy and Authority of Supranational Human Rights Courts: A comparative analysis of the perception of the European Court of Human Rights'.
The research project aims to
survey and better understand the reception of the European Court of Human
Rights as a supranational human rights court and to make both normative and
explanatory contributions to the debates on the legitimacy and authority of
supranational institutions in contemporary politics.
Alongside this work her other research interests lie within contemporary political philosophy, international justice and human rights. She received an MA in Human Rights at UCL in 2007 and a BA (hons) in Philosophy and Politics at the University of Leeds in 2005. Before joining the School of Public Policy she worked at Amnesty International for the South Asia Team, primarily on work related to Pakistan and Afghanistan.
