2017 Annual Symposium

HERBAL MEDICINE AND HEALTH FOODS: RESEARCH AT THE INTERFACE OF NATURAL SCIENCES AND SOCIETY

Wednesday 11 October 2017
UCL School of Pharmacy, 29-39 Brunswick Square, London WC1N 1AX

UCL Spices and Medicine was pleased to host the 2017 annual symposium on 11 October 2017 with the support of the UCL School of Pharmacy. This year's theme explored the changing role of herbal medicine within our food and health systems over time, and included an exciting programme of talks from both experts and research students across the fields of archaeology, museums and herbaria, lab-based pharmacy, and of course herbalism. Fully booked with over 200 registered attendees, the symposium provided a platform for practitioners, academic researchers, and interested participants to engage with each other on these exciting topics during our poster sessions and Q&A sessions.
