SPAN4001
SPANISH LANGUAGE III
SPAN4001 is an advanced level language course designed for finalists. It consists of four components: (a) translation from Spanish to English, (b) translation from English to Spanish, (c) translation commentary, and (d) the oral Spanish class. Students are required to hand in written work each week. The course aims to enrich the student’s understanding of syntax, shades of meaning, and register in both English and Spanish, as well as enhance the student’s lexical knowledge and comprehension in both languages. The final assessment is based on marks given to proses, translations and oral presentations, as well as final-year examinations (written and oral).
