Kevin Smullin Brown
Kevin Smullin Brown studied at Stanford University, the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, and is now in his second year at the University of London, conjointly at the University College London Spanish department and the School of Oriental and African Studies Arabic department, researching the literature of the Lebanese diaspora in Mexico. His earlier work focused on the rights of individuals in minority faith religions in the UK and was published in part as "Reforming England's Blasphemy Law to Protect the Individual" in the journal Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations, 14 (2003): 189-203. His current research includes both writing a history of the literature of the Lebanese of Mexico and a critique of the notion of identity-based literature.
