Congratulations to Adel Bolbol

 Congratulations to Adel Bolbol, who successfully defended his PhD thesis, entitled Understanding Travel behaviour from Sparse GPS Data, on Tuesday 4th February. Adel's examiners were Prof. Peter Jones (UCL CEGE) and Prof. Bin Jiang (University of Gävle, Sweden). Adel has now taken up a position as a geospatial intelligence consultant at Envitia. On Tuesday 4th February 2014 at 11.00am, Professor Bin Jiang from the University of Gävle (Sweden) will give a special presentation entitled Head/Tail Breaks for Visualizing the Fractal or Scaling Structure of Geographic Features, in the Thompson Room (101), Chadwick Building, UCL. On Friday 3rd January 2014, SpaceTimeLab director Prof. Tao Cheng gave an invited talk at the School of Computing, Informatics and Decision Systems Engineering, Arizona State University. Her talk, a collaboration with SpaceTimeLab research student Garavig Tanaksaranond, was on the subject of Exploratory Visualisation of Congestion Evolution on Urban Transportation Networks.
