Garavig Tanaksaranond grew up in Bangkok, Thailand. She studied Survey Engineering (BEng, 2005) at the Faculty of Engineering, followed by Statistical Information Technology (MSc, 2008) at the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. She is a final year PhD student, supervised by Prof Tao Cheng and Dr Andrew Hudson-Smith. She is now working on STANDARD project. Her current research focuses on developing a visualization system for analysing traffic data. She is interested in data visualisation, visual analytics, and database systems.
