The Research Department of Structural and Molecular Biology, formerly the
UCL Department of Biochemistry, has a wide range of and leading research groups
and diverse research activities. Please follow links on our Academic Staff
pages to see the activities of individual groups. Our Departmental research
pages with detailed research information are presently under construction and
will be launched shortly.
We are also part of the Institute of Structural and Molecular Biology, a joint institute between Birkbeck and UCL that seeks to integrate techniques from the chemical and physical sciences to provide insight into the molecular basis of biological processes. Further information on our research activities can be found on this site.
